American Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura kicked off a three-day visit to Toronto with a visit to Pub Chess Toronto at the Madison Avenue Pub on Friday afternoon.

Nakamura is a five-time US Chess Champion and popular chess streamer with 1.5M followers on Twitch. Among other successes on the professional circuit, he is currently one of the quarter finalists in the Chess.com Global Championship and so will be playing in the live finals in Toronto on November 2-8.

His current Toronto visit continues with an appearance at Chess in the Park on Saturday at 1:30pm at the north end of High Park near the old chess house. And then he’ll be playing a simultaneous exhibition at Annex Chess Club at 2:00pm on Sunday.
